The medicine bag is a traditional North American Indian container that held items of "supernatural" powers. The items might include items from nature such as rocks or herbal medicines wrapped up in small bundles, or other charms. The powers ascribed to these bags might include increased hunting abilities, fighting skill, healing, and altering the weather, to name a few.
